Outline: A Panel Discussion will be conducted to identify the key challenges of IROs, discuss ways to become a good IRO, as well as practical techniques to develop and deepen key c-suite relationships, followed by a Q&A session and a networking opportunity.

About the Speakers

Ms. Shelldy Cheung
Head of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations, Chu Kong Petroleum and Natural Gas Steel Pipe

Shelldy Cheung is responsible for the fund raising activities and investor relations of the company. She also leads a team from various production plants and offices in different regions to develop internal and external communications plans. She has over 19 years of experience in financial-related industry, and has adopted the vision and knowledge of multinational corporations to formulate a comprehensive communication strategy in IR. She graduated from Ryerson University Canada with a Bachelor degree of Administration & Information Technology Management.

Mr. Aldous Chiu, CFA, BEng(Hon), MBA, EMBA
General Manager, Strategy and Investor Relations, New World Development

Aldous Chiu is mainly responsible for supporting the Board of Directors and the Group’s strategy and investor relations matters like the engagement of the investor communities including institutional investors, investment banks, analysts and rating agencies. He is also involving in corporate strategy and activities like IPO, M&A, bond issuance, stakeholders’ engagement initiatives, corporate governance initiatives, results announcements, and annual report.
Aldous joined New World Group in 2002. Before joining New World Group, Mr. Chiu has extensive experience in equity research and management consultancy specializing in conglomerate, real estate, retail, supply chain management, operation reengineering and business strategy. Mr. Chiu holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Guanghua School of Management of Beijing University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst holder since 2001.

Mr. Franky Chung
Chief Financial Officer, Xiao-i Robot Technology

Franky Chung joined Xiao-i in September 2018. As the CFO, he is responsible for financial planning, risk management, fund raising, capital management and investor relations. Franky has a diverse and ample experience in Hong Kong capital market, having spent over 20 years working for leading international investment banks, Big Four accounting firms and the Hong Kong SAR government, during which he was involved in enormous IPOs, fund raising, and M&A projects. Prior to joining Xiao-i, Franky spent about 13 years working for the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing where he spearheaded the incubation and marketing of IPOs of Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong. Key accomplishments included working on the paramount milestone of launching the Shanghai- Shenzhen - Hong Kong Stock Connect and completing the revamp of the listing rules for new economy companies. In this role, he was also responsible for establishing and maintaining investor relations for HKEx as an eligible trading equity in Mainland China. Leveraging on his extensive business network and financial expertise in Hong Kong and Mainland China, Franky made a significant contribution to the vibrant and sustainable development of the financial market.
Franky graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with honors in Business Administration. He also possesses with the professional qualifications of CFA and AICPA. Franky also serves as the Deputy Chairman of The Listed Companies Council of Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association and the Joint Convener of AI and High Technology Group, Hong Kong-Shanghai Chamber of Commerce-Shanghai.

Mr. Kenneth Ke
Managing Director, Investor Relations, China New Higher Education Group

Kenneth Ke served as the head of investor relations for several globally leading entertainment technology companies, including Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME.US), IMAX China (1970.HK) and Tiange Interactive (1980.HK). He was awarded by HKIRA as Best IRO for Small Cap and Mid Cap companies in 2014, 2016 and 2017. Prior to Kenneth Ke’s career as IRO’s, he started his career in the private equity sector as investment analyst in 2009. Kenneth Ke also co-founded an Hollywood focused new entertainment start-up company named "FansTang" in China in 2012 and help completed 3 rounds of its angel and institutional fund raising in less than 2 years. Mid-2016, FansTang was acquired by Remark Media (Nasdaq: MARK) with the assistance of Kenneth on it’s exit plan via M&A.

Ms. Emily Lau (Moderator)
General Manager, Investor Relations, Pacific Basin Shipping (HK)

Emily Lau graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2003 with a BA degree in Geography and History and an MSc degree in Applied Accounting and Finance from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2012. She joined Suga International Holding in 2004 as a member of the Corporate Management team. In February 2005, she joined Pacific Basin as Investor Relations Assistant and promoted to General Manager in 2017. She is now responsible for corporate communications and investor relations of the Group. She was awarded the Best IR Professionals - Transport by Institutional Investors Asia Executive Awards in 2012, 2013, 2017 and 2018 and Best IR Professional by Corporate Governance Asia in 2015.
