| Outline: | Our speakers will present their views and experience on what elements of information would attract potential investors in this stagnating market and also share examples of investment stories which has helped to catch investor’s eyeballs (or at least kept their interest alive). The panel speakers will fire chat on what IROs and listed company management should do (or change) to better compete for investors’ time, capital and support. |
| Moderator: | Randy Hung Director of Investor Relations China Shineway Pharmaceutical Group Limited Mr. Randy Hung is currently the Director of Investor Relations of China Shineway Pharmaceutical Group Limited (stock code: 2877). He is a HKIRA fellow member and a holder of Certificate in Investor Relations issued by the UK Investor Relations Society. Mr. Hung has served as an executive director, independent non-executive director, and senior management of listed companies for more than 20 years. He is a fellow certified public accountant of Hong Kong, and a licensed certified public accountant of the State of California in the USA. Mr. Hung holds a MBA degree from the University of London, a bachelor of science degree in accounting and a certificate of programming and data processing from the University of Southern California, a certificate of China Accounting, Finance, Taxation and Law from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Hong Kong Securities Institute Specialist Certificate in corporate finance, and a holder of Executive Certificate in ESG Analysis & Green Finance Valuation issued by the Friends of the Earth. He is also serving as a council member and the Chairman of Training Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors. |
| Speakers: | Eric Chan Founder and Managing Director Buena Vista Fund Management (HK) Limited Eric Chan is the founder and Managing Director of Buena Vista Fund Management (HK) Ltd (BVHK), a SFC licensed asset management firm. Mr Chan has over 30 years of experience in the industry including being Director at Sofaer Global Research (a hedge fund) in Hong Kong, Head of HK Research for Solomon Smith Barney, and an investment analyst at Bankers Trust Australia. Prior to his investment career, Mr Chan started his career as an engineer at Telstra in the ‘80’s. In 2000, he was appointed as the CEO of Davnet Asia, a regional broadband telecom carrier where he ran the Singapore and Hong Kong operations for two years. Mr Chan completed a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours with University of Tasmania and a Master of Business in Applied Finance with University of Technology, Sydney. Kenny Cheung, CFA Deputy Investor Relations Director ANTA Sports Product Limited Kenny Cheung Kin On, CFA is a seasoned investor relations professional with 10 years of industry experience. He currently holds the position of Deputy IR Director in ANTA Sports Products Limited (stock code: 2020) the largest sportswear company in China and a blue-chip company. Before joining ANTA Sports, Kenny was the IRO for China Suntien Green Energy (stock code: 0956), a Chinese state-owned utilities company. Before joining corporate, Kenny worked as research analyst in RHB, Core Pacific Yamaichi and SMBC Friend Securities. Kenny was a graduate from The University of Hong Kong and has been a Chartered Financial Analyst since 2013. Shelley Yu, CFA ESG & Climate Corporate Client Coverage Lead, Greater China MSCI Shelley Yu, CFA is ESG & Climate Client Coverage Lead for Corporate at MSCI responsible for promoting ESG integration, Climate solutions and advocating Sustainable investment opportunities in Greater China. Prior to joining MSCI, Shelley worked at both buy and sell side, initially at Goldman Sachs London in a variety of investment banking roles before moving into the buy-side working for hedge fund and asset management firm Schroders. Her latest role was with HSBC where she worked for 9 years and spearheaded key strategic initiatives including Allocate to China, China Sustainability, China Belt & Road and Euro-Asia Business Corridors. Shelley is a CFA Charterholder, holds a 1st class honours degree in Financial Economics and is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Shelley is an active member of a number of Women in Banking & Finance groups and has taken roles such as Committee Chair. She was also the Chairperson of HSBC China Connect and has been ranked #32 in the FT/Yahoo Finance Empower Top 100 Ethnic Minority Executives 2019. |
